Shinglehouse offers many enjoyable outdoor activities year round for it's residents and guests from snowmobiling to sky diving! We are a very popular destination for both fishing season and hunting season. People come from all over the country to fish our stocked streams and hunt in our beautiful forests. It is also a great place for the hiking enthusiasts who love to enjoy mother nature. Our park has a 1 1/2 mile nature trail that is wonderfully maintained. You can also canoe the Oswayo and Honeoye Creeks for miles. We have excellent snow mobile trails for the winter season. There are also private campsites to use year round. Assembly Park Assembly Park, pictured below, is open year round and provides many outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy. The park is surrounded by beautiful mother nature with the Oswayo Creek flowing parallel to it. Deer frequent the park and bear have occasionally been known to visit, but please do not feed the wild animals. There is a big playground for the kids, volleyball, horse shoes, basketball, a 1 1/2 mile nature trail and the Oswayo Creek for canoeing or fishing, when it's in season. A restroom facility is available. There are pavilions and barbecue grills all around the park for use. There is even a pavilion and barbecue grills right by the hiking trail and Oswayo Creek. |
